Description of Spherical SAX Flash Column

The SAX flash column, or strong anion-exchange flash column, in which bonded quaternary ammonium functionalities are typically used for the analysis of negatively charged compounds.

The loading volume of the flash column and HPLC column is very different. Since SAX flash columns are usually used for pre-purification, high resolution is not a priority factor, so the loading volume is often higher than that of HPLC. In HPLC, the main purpose is to obtain the highest purity material, so the baseline must be separated.
